Xan was walking back home with his hands in his pockets having waited for Tumu while escorting the boy, who he later realized had to be Kaii Toketsu judging by the way the area got colder in his presence during the battle. That was good and bad, Toketsu were notoriously inept at being stealthy outside of the Land of Frost, generating blizzards when agitated didn't exactly help matters. However that was also good because Xan hated the weather of the West Continent and couldn't wait to get back to Samui were it was nice and frigid as good weather should be. It wouldn't be a long journey just taking a Samuigakure ship head through the West Sea into the Frozen Sea and dock at the port in the Land of Frost. He wasn't the one to make small talk however so it would be up to Tumu or Kaii to initiate a conversation, he would chip in.. if it concerned him otherwise he'd just stay silent the entire way.

Kaii followed the older shinobi with his hands in his pockets, staying a little bit behind him. The boy was going home with his stay at the academy shortened because of the war. Unfortunately he sided with the shogun because that was what his village, was doing and he wasn't going to go against them. He sighed as they walked, he was so bored. He grabbed a book out of his bag and held it up to his face as they walked. It was a book on fighting styles and strategy, which could be useful to him soon. He might have to fight someone powerful, just going home, but that probably wasn't going to happen, so he just kept on walking.

Tumu would approach blinded and riddled with the overwhelming stench of rum. For the most part he seemed to walk quite well, only the occasional stagger and loss of balance giving him away. As he neared, his smile would grow wider until finally stopping just before them. "You two of you are so loud, I could hear you from the livary~." He'd try his best to make perfect eye contact with the new guy, performing a very elegant circus-like bow with one arm crossed over his chest, and the other swung out to the side. "Tumu Inakamono at your service. Im'a known as the Horny Toad who speaks lots. Honor to acquainted you." Rising, he'd switch his focus over to Xander. "Shall we be off?"

Xander would continue walking it would seem that the boy was silent as well or simply just learning from his cue. Both were fine, he wished more people didn't talk much but it would seem Tumu had arrived, drunk as he could be, under normal circumstance Xan would of said something but he had seen that the drunkenness was part of his mask. Act drunk and promptly eviscerate one's opponents who had underestimated his sobriety. He wouldn't say anything if Tumu wanted to get acquainted to the young one so be it, he had his own methods of getting attention, when they got back to the village he would begin training the boy and molding him into an effective fighter...for right at this moment it was easy to see that he wasn't even competent with a blade. Steps would have to be taken to rectify that.

As Kaii and Xander walked, the other Samui ninja showed up, drunk as ever, which was kinda annoying. Who wanted to be around a drunk person all the time? Not Kaii that's who. Tumu tried interacting with Kaii, who didn't give a positive reaction, "Tsk" He turned his head away from Tumu, who was acting like a fool, bowing to Kaii and all. Kaii obviously wan't in the mood to deal with the guy, so he just tried ignoring him. Kaii stuffed his book away and put his hands in his pockets while following Xander. Hopefully Tumu would just leave Kaii alone so there wouldn't be any problems between the both of them.

He walked in the middle of the two, watching as the newcomer simply rejected him entirely. On the inside, he simply found it amusing that the boy thought himself to be superior, despite shaking in his boots moments ago during the fight, yet on the outside, Tumu simply smiled and watched the road ahead. "Tsk indeed." He'd offer a quick sidewards glance towards Xan before slowing his walking. "Seems like this isn't going to be much of an interesting trip, and there's only one thing to do about that." Dropping behind he'd allow one of his many metal flasks to drop from his sleeve into his palm, popping the cap with his thumb which dangled from the mouthpiece by a thin wire so it wouldn't be misplaced, allowing Tumu to take a slug, then sigh. This shall be an interesting walk indeed. The flask would be flicked back up his sleeve, clanking against his slaver band into place where it wouldn't fall out.

Kaii was it, give me a debriefing on your skillset. I already know...roughly of what Tumu can do. You on the other hand are new and I have yet to see you on the field. Xan would say while taking one of his hands out of his pocket along with a cigarette, he would snap his fingers surprisingly generating enough friction to cause the cigarette to light. He wouldn't slow down his walk nor did he bother to even look at Kaii after he asked the question, after all they had places to go and could easily walk back to their village while having a conversation. The real reason Xan was of course asking this was to see if Kaii had any skill with a blade, sure he had Tumu as an apprentice and as such would teach him the basics of his family style but if the kid showed promise he wouldn't pass on the opportunity to train a budding swordsman. Regardless even though it wasn't usually in his character to speak just to talk, he did have one more question for both of them.

Kaii sighed as he walked along the road, looking at the back of Xan's head, "Yeah, name's Kaii. My fighting capabilities are basically this, I try to master in ninjutsu, I'm also pretty keen in taijutsu, then genjutsu, and all other categories of jutsu, I haven't really started to get into." The boy shook his head when he saw Tumu drinking more, the kid should really just stop, it would probably be a rare sight to see the kid sober. How could he fight being drunk all the time? How could he think straight? Eh, it didn't matter if he was a ninja he couldn't be completely useless. Or maybe he could. Kaii was kind of upset he didn't learn anything at the academy because he very well couldof had the chance to explore in different kinds of jutsu. He was also hoping to save up some money there so he could buy some stuff later on that would benefit him greatly.

Tumu overexerted his Temporal lobe of his brain in order to temperately increase his hearing, drawing the extra power from the Parietal lobe, lessening his sense of temperature and speech. With this, he'd be capable of listening in despite walking so far back. Roughly... That was indeed the right word to use, as Tumu hasn't exactly showed his main style, however the gist of it may be known, and from that, the rest assumed. This other boy though. Ninjutsu, was a poor match for Xan, as he was without chakra and incapable of the said form, then taijutsu, followed by various other jutsu's. Truly not fitting for that of a swordsman, yet nothing can be done about it, we must make do with what we have. I do however, wonder what it is exactly that the boy has against drunks, but it was slightly irritating considering not only did he hide throughout the battle, it would appear as though he wasn't watching either. Inattentive and accusative are never a good match, but alas, being underestimated was all for the best, being a contributing reason to his drinking in the first place.

I see.. Xan said his slight frown becoming even more pronounced, it would seem this wasn't meant to be after all as the boy didn't seem suited towards swordsmanship in the slightest. Nonetheless he would escort him back to the village and most likely find another to take him off his hands so he could focus on Tumu instead. He would continue walking before deciding to ask another question this one was rather important and depending on their answer it would affect how he treated them in the future. Do either of you two...wish to be immortal, or at the very least.. undead like myself. Xan said before his frown would disappear into an expressionless gaze as they continued to make their way back home.

Kaii walked listening to the man as they made there way back home, and then a crazy question was asked from Xander which made Kaii raise an eyebrow, "I'm going to have to deny wanting to become immortal or even undead. Everything has a cycle and life is just one of those many things." Becoming immortal would be cool but he couldn't live forever, life would be boring. Kaii sighed, it was taking a while to get home and they weren't even half way there. Yeah, Kaii would like to stay mortal, he didn't want to be undead, he didn't even know that Xander was undead. This raised interest, "But please explain what being immortal is like, concerning the pros and cons of it.."

Tumu would raise an eyebrow, restoring the focus in his brain allowing him to decipher the question, and produce a plausible answer. First however, Kaii would discover his distaste for the concept, denying it suddenly, Tumu however, deciding the pro's and con's for himself rather then from one who has already experienced the situation (which was unexpected in itself). "I do not desire it, nor do i reject the idea." His drunkenness was temporarily muted as he directed his attention towards speaking correctly to avoid any mishaps, as this seems to be a sensitive matter. "If i were to suffer from such an ideal such as immortality or being 'undead' it wouldn't bother, I would be happy to comply, making the most of any circumstance. However, that does not mean I would go chasing after the ability itself." Happy with how he answered, he'd take another drink, looking up at the clouds above to reflect more on this, as very well may have just become a possibility.

It was simply a question I had to ask, no need to tell you the pro's or con's after all you can find that out eventually for yourself. Xan said as he continued to walk seeing as Kaii had denied him, Xan found himself liking the boy less however Tumu's own reply was more respectable one shouldn't seek out immortality rather it would find them, Xan himself had staved of the need to become "Undead" for a long time and as such understood Tumu's sentiment towards it. Let us...make haste. he said finishing his cigarette before flicking it to the side and moving into a light jog as he saw the docks in the distance. Once they made it there he would take one of the Samuigakure ships and they would be on their way back home and out of the Shogunate owned land. It wasn't as if he hated it here, but the weather was too.. hot for his liking, these thoughts had lingered in his mind for some time now..it must of been the third time he had thought about the temperature since arriving in the West Continent..

Kaii picked up his pace after Xander said so. It didn't seem he was getting along with his own village ninja which would probably be a problem if they were all going to need to work together. He sighed as he jumped aboard the ship. It wasn't too hot anymore, after all he was a Toketsu member, he was constantly making the area colder around him. Kaii couldn't help but feel him not getting along was his fault, but he really didn't mean anything by it, he just didn't want to talk to the kid when he was drunk, and wasn't into being immortal. Although, the other boy seemed to sober up, because he was talking better so Kaii took the chance to get to know him, "Look, I'm sorry about earlier, What was your name?" He looked at Tumu and held out his hand for a handshake.

Xan picked up his pace, as did Kaii, so naturally, Tumu was expected to follow suit, but rather then forming into a jog, he simply went into a sped walk with long strides, taking as little steps as it was possible. Then, as mentioned, they reached the boat, following the same order in the entrance. The air cooled, a temperature he wasn't accustomed too after having spent the last three years in the western land. He'd pull his wolf skin, handmade cloak from his man purse, tying it on, throwing the mouth over his head as a hood before covering his body. His amazing weapon, Sharpshooter had to be readjusted, changing its form to a sword so it may be strapped to his belt rather then his back to keep the warmth in. The versatility of it was really useful in just about any situation. A click, then a drop of a flask into his palm, allowed the boy to take yet another drink, before turning to face the talking newcomer, making his second introduction. "The name's Tumu. Don't worry -bout insulting me, i'm a fool, we expect it." He'd grin warmly, shaking the boys cold hands after swapping the tin over to his left.

Xan would take a seat near the mast of the boat pulling out another cigarette lighting it just like before before inhaling as smoking had been a habit he had picked up in his youth. Seeing as he couldn't cycle chakra into his lungs to filter out the harmful effects it would of been a fatal one, however him being undead allowed him to indulge to his fill without worry or medical expenses. While smoking he would look over to Tumu and Kaii seeing as the later had finally decided not to judge a book by it's cover and went to attempt to talk to Tumu, perhaps there was hope for the boy yet. He would let them talk deciding not to interfere for now, might as well have them get used to each other as both were genin and probably will be encountering each other quite often during this war. Sure he was still set on Tumu being pilfered away perhaps Telarossa or Caith could find some use for him as he personally wasn't suited to oversee the boy's instruction.

Kaii put his arm back in his pocket and watched the snow fall down, each snowflake fell inside of the water, and a little bit inside the boat. He couldn't wait to be back in Samuigakure, where his snow didn't stand out so much. It was starting to get quiet again, so Kaii spoke, "Well Xander and or Tumu, would either of you give my information on the war or what is going on when we reach home?" The boy leaned back and looked into the sky as he would listen to the information, either of the shinobi would tell him.

Tumu shifted slightly, moving over to a railing to lean on it, looking over the ship's edge at the water as it sailed past, talking into the wind rather then facing the questioner. "Your guess is as good as mine. Unless Xan has been keep stuff from me, all we know is that Ibaragakure, Kaosgakure, Owarigakure and Himeigakure are on the offensive against the shogun, as well as the fact that the 12 major blades defecting. Apart from that, we're in the smoke." Tumu would spin around to smile at Kaii, scratching the back of his head looking like little more then a fool. "But you don't really need to worry much about that until you reach Genin, even then our role will be slight, this occurrence being an exception of course. So in the mean time, why don't we exchange stories and get to know one another?" He was the odd one out, two strong silent types who prefer talking only in facts and seriousness. Tumu, the fool, the talkative clown, he will struggle to form decent connections with the pair, but given time...

They weren't Blades they were prodigies a different splinter cell of the Shogunate forces specially trained by him their defection weakened our side a bit not to mention they apparently must of stolen a large amount of Xel to fund their rebellion as well. But like Tumu mentioned other than that we know nothing, I will eventually receive more information as time goes on. Xan said before looking over the side of the boat his frown lessening a bit as he saw that they were already in the frozen sea just a few more moments and they would be back in the land of Glaciers. He wanted to part ways with the academy student and begin to work with Tumu, and perhaps establish a training regiment with the other members of the higher ranking shinobi in Samuigakure.

Kaii nodded listening to the information both of the people before him had to say, which really didn't help much due to the fact that both of them didn't know that much to begin with. He sighed and looked around at the area in front of him. They were getting close, soon they would be home and the boy would be able to train, he would need to so he could become a genin and join in on the war. He then looked at Tumu, "Well if you want to get to know each other, I guess we could talk. I'm from the Toketsu Clan, and I want to become a shinobi to become more powerful, and be able to have a life of action."

Oh. That was his response to the correction from Xander. Following that up was Kaii telling of his clan as desires, both of which were slightly obvious from the get go. "Oh, a power seeker, that seemed to be a common denominator at the academy, but yeah, i noticed you were Toketsu awhile back. Before we got on the ship as it cooled, i had suspicions, but when we shock hands, it was very easy to determine." They had landed, and as such, Tumu felt the need to head to the village in an asap manner, simply grabbing the railing and throwing his legs through the gap to exit the boat in an odd manner."But alas, home at last. Its been 3 years..." He'd start walking, positive the other two could find their own way to the village. "Sensei, i'll meet up with you soon. I want to do a few things first."
